The worm tank experiment

We're learning about Ecology and in this experiment, we had to see what would happen when we filled two tanks with organic materials and then put worms in one of them. These instructions tell u how to do this;

  1. Take two glass tanks.

  2. Place a strip of masking tape on one side.

  3. Mark, on the tape, these three words; SOIL, COMPOST, LEAVES.

  4. Fill the tank with soil at the bottom.

  5. Before adding anything else, add about fifteen worms to the soil in the worm tank ONLY. Make sure to add a bit of water to the soil, or else the worms will dry up and the experiment won't work.

  6. Add the compost. There must be more compost than anything else.

  7. Add some leaves over the compost.

The picture in the right top corner is the worm tank. The one underneath this sentence is the anti-worm tank.

Organic or inorganic?

The quiz was ok. Telling the difference between organic and inorganic is a piece of cake! I wonder why people say 'a piece of cake'. Why not pie, or quiche, or pizza, or chocolate? Arg, I'm getting hungry! Must stop thinking about food! (Chocolate... O_O) Gone totally off topic!
